Mark Lederer, LMFT

ABOUT
Along with my training as a psychotherapist, my work as a therapist is informed by my academic training in philosophy and theology and my interests in music and nature. I tend to think of the struggles and joys we experience in life as issues that, though unique in our individual experience, are part of the human condition. I also tend to think that there is some element of spiritual depth to the work of being alive.

As someone who has spent a good deal of time in the outdoors, I think of my work as a psychotherapist as being observant of natural processes and as having experience in traveling through wild places. As a musician, I think of my work as a psychotherapist being that of a bass player where my role is to listen deeply, attend to both the rhythm and the harmony in supporting the melody.
